I have endeavoured in this Viral little book, to raise the Virus of an Idea, which shall not put my readers out of humour with themselves, with each other, with their leaders (whether in public health or government), with the season, or with me. May it haunt their houses pleasantly, unlike aerosolized SARS-Cov-2, and no one wish to lay it.
